Gwinnett Gets High Marks on U.S. News 'Best High Schools' List

One of the benefits of living in Hamilton Mill is having access to Mill Creek schools and the excellent Gwinnett County School system.  One of our Gwinnett County schools, also attended by many Hamilton Mill residents, was listed among the 2015 “Best High Schools in Nation,” according to new rankings by U.S. News & World Report.  Our very own Mill Creek High School was also listed in the top 50 in Georgia.

Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology, which draws students from all over the county, was listed No. 4 in the nation and No. 1 in Georgia.

Released Tuesday, the 2015 rankings include data on more than 21,150 public high schools across the country. In Georgia, 442 high schools were considered.

Eleven other Gwinnett schools were ranked in the top 50 in Georgia:

  • North Gwinnett, 14th in Georgia (337th in the U.S.)

  • Brookwood, 16th (455th)

  • Peachtree Ridge, 27th (744th)

  • Parkview, 29th (783rd)

  • Norcross, 30th (888th)
