Gas prices in Georgia keep tumbling down

Gas prices in Georgia keep tumbling down, according to AAA’s weekly fuel price brief. And one thing is certain – gas prices in Dacula, GA are pretty cheap! The cheapest gas price in the Hamilton Mill area is Kroger on Hamilton Mill Rd and Ridge Road at $191.9 per gallon.

At the beginning of the week, the average price per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline fell nine cents in Georgia, from $2.10 to $2.01, according to AAA figures. The national average fell seven cents to $2.07.

The average in metro Atlanta was also down 10 cents to $2.03, as of Sunday.

“The national average could be $2 or less by this time next week,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman for the AAA Auto Club Group. “Gasoline has been falling at a rate of about 1 cent a day and that trend is likely to continue in the next seven days.”

If it happens, this would be the first time the national average would be under $2 in nearly six years (March 2009).

Gas prices under $2 are already seen all over metro Atlanta and Gwinnett County.
